NetSuite Consultant – Cash-Based Project Reporting

Overview:

We’re supporting a client in need of a NetSuite expert to design and automate advanced cash-based project reporting. This is a high-impact, time-sensitive role requiring someone who understands the nuances of translating GAAP (accrual-based) financials into actionable, project-level cash flow reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze current GAAP-based financial reporting structure in NetSuite

• Design and implement cash-basis project-level reports, ensuring accuracy and usability

• Build custom reports and dashboards using SuiteAnalytics, Saved Searches, and scripting where necessary

• Translate business needs into system-based reporting solutions that drive vendor and project decision-making

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand project cash flow needs and reporting requirements

• Document and roadmap current reporting processes, highlighting automation opportunities

• Deliver scalable, repeatable solutions that align with the client’s long-term reporting goals

Requirements:

• Proven experience customizing reports and workflows in NetSuite

• Strong understanding of GAAP vs. cash basis accounting and how to model both in NetSuite

• Prior experience delivering cash-based reporting at the project level

• Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance in a client-facing setting

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA, CMA, or relevant accounting background

• Experience in services-based industries or project-driven businesses

• Familiarity with SuiteScript and SuiteAnalytics Workbooks
